It’s been a very busy couple of months for No Frills with 36 attendees in April and 40 in May with 10+ new members both months.
Thanks to Rachel French in April and Carol Baker in May for their Business Spotlights. Big thanks also to Mark Hodgson of Talbots Solicitors for his presentation on ‘Top 10 Tips for Business’ and Neeta Vaitha of CCH for hers on ‘Employment Status and IR35′. If anyone wishes to contact those who have presented then please contact our secretary Steve Brogan to obtain their contact details. There won’t be a Business or Skills Spotlight at June’s meeting as this is a free meeting and will allow for more open networking.
Our April meeting saw our AGM where the position of Vice Chair was filled by Trish Fisher, and Secretary by Steve Brogan. Good luck to both Trish and Steve in their new roles and a big thank you to Claire Lawton and Alison Calcutt for their valued contribution to No Frills over the last couple of years.
We also voted to appoint our new charity for 2015/16, Whizz-Kidz. Whizz-Kidz were represented by Vicki Rowles , who told us how they help to provide wheelchairs for young children, and how they also run youth groups, wheelchair skills training, residential camps and work placements, allowing young disabled people to gain skills, make friends and become confident wheelchair users.
Finally, and what a climax…. 21 May saw our somewhat belated ‘Christmas 2014′ social event. An amazing turn out with 34 of us taking over Indiluxe Restaurant in Amblecote where there was good food, a bit of banter and just a few drinks! Thanks to those who came along, both members and their guests – watch this space for the next one!

About No Frills Networking
Each month we offer our members a great night of business networking in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Bring a guest to our meetings and get free entrance (normally £5) next time.
Why not exhibit at one of our meetings? We have 3 spaces each month for members to visually promote their services and products. The cost of this is £10 per meeting inclusive of the entrance fee. As exhibition spaces are limited members MUST book prior to the meeting by contacting our secretary, Steve Brogan.
We also offer banner advertising on our website at a cost of £10 per year. If you are interested in promoting your business via our website please contact our secretary, Steve Brogan, who will gladly forward you any relevant information.
We value our members participation in our meetings and how the club is run.
We are looking for different members each month to volunteer to prepare the buffet. If you are interesting in this please contact our secretary, Steve.
